Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of paperAI (“Service”), operated by Vishu Gupta (Sole Proprietor), with a registered address at B-108, Sai Baba Apartment, Sector 9, Rohini, Delhi 110085, India (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

paperAI delivers personalized AI and engineering news briefings to subscribers via email and a web account. Briefings are generated by large language models based on the profile information you provide and articles published on public sources.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscription, billing, and trial

• New accounts receive a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan. No payment is collected during the trial.
• After the trial, you may continue on the Free plan or subscribe to Pro on a monthly or yearly cycle. Prices are listed on the Pricing page and are charged in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Payments are processed by our payment partner, PayU. We do not store your full card or banking details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from Settings; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period. See the Refund Policy for details.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, scrape, or republish briefings without written permission.
• Attempt to disrupt the Service or access accounts you do not own.
• Submit profile content that is unlawful or infringes others’ rights.

5. Content and intellectual property

Briefings reference and link to third-party articles published by their original authors. We claim no ownership over linked content. The framing, summarization, and editorial layer produced by paperAI are provided to you for personal use under your active subscription and may not be redistributed.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” basis. Briefings are AI-assisted and may contain errors or omissions. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi, India.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via a prominent notice on the Service before taking effect.
